I’m very happy to say that my team at Chargebacks911 has been selected as the silver award winners in the Business Philanthropist of the Year category at the 2024 Globee® Awards for Leadership! This recognition is truly an honor and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.
At Chargebacks911, we believe that success in business should not be measured by financial gain alone. The impact of a business should ultimately be judged by their positive impact on society. That’s why giving back has always been an integral part of our company culture.
The Paid For Grades Program
We’re committed to making a difference in our community and beyond through various philanthropic initiatives. Our primary effort — and the one for which we’ve been recognized — is Paid for Grades.
The Paid for Grades program is a unique initiative that I launched back in 2013. Sponsored by Chargebacks911, the program’s goal is to foster educational achievement among high schoolers here in Pinellas County. Paid for Grades incentivizes students by providing financial rewards for academic excellence, encouraging them to strive for better performance. By offering tangible incentives, we empower students to focus on their studies and maximize their potential.
I’m proud to say that more than 1,000 students have successfully completed Paid for Grades, and that we have donated more than $1 million to local students and schools through the program.
Other Ways We’re Committed to Giving Back
Like I alluded to, Paid for Grades is just one of the avenues through which Chargebacks911 has helped to make our community a stronger, more dynamic, and more loving place.
For example, we also have our Take Charge for Charity program. This is a challenge we started several years ago, where Chargebacks911 makes a $250 donation to a charity of one employee’s choice every week.
We’ve also partnered with respected organizations like Habitat for Humanity, where we organize corporate volunteer days to help build homes for families in need. And during the holiday season, our team participates in toy drives and food drives to support families who may be struggling.
Then, of course, is our work with LIFT: Elevating Women in Fintech. As I’ve discussed on the blog before, LIFT is a free mentorship program that connects aspiring young women in the fintech space with more senior mentors. Our aim is to bridge the gap between established women in the industry, and those who are still trying to find their way.
I’m incredibly proud of all that we’ve been able to give back to our community, and this latest award is just a recognition of everything we’ve done! Thank you to the judges, my team, and everyone that helped us get to where we are today. I can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish tomorrow!
