I’m very excited and proud to announce that I’ve been nominated for the Security Leader of the Year award at the 2023 Women in IT Awards!

Judges considered examples of my work, the ROI our clients receive, and the methodologies of implementation before making their decision. They also looked at the impact of Chargebacks911 on other stakeholders, and our strategy to uphold security best practices.

I can’t say how humbled I am to be included in this year’s event!

What are the Women in IT Awards?

The Women in IT Awards celebrate outstanding contributions to the technology industry. Organizers will present awards to women, allies, and organizations from across the US in recognition of their contribution to the tech space.

The accompanying summit aims to educate attendees on how diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility are at the core of the development of revolutionary technology. The summit’s main theme also aims to explore how companies can prioritize actual action and create maximum impact in a post-pandemic world.

The Security Leader of the Year category, specifically, is open to any female CSO, CISO, or any other senior IT security function. The winner will be someone who, according to the presenters, “has delivered outstanding work, implemented innovative approaches to security, and contributed to the impact of policies, procedures, and projects within the business.”

I Am So Grateful to be Included Among the Nominees!

As one of the nominees for Security Leader of the Year, I can’t express how pleased and honored I am to be considered among such vaunted names.

My fellow nominees in this category include:

  • Christa Ferrell, Bank of Montreal
  • Christine Whichard, SmartBear
  • Dana Simberkoff, AvePoint
  • Frankie Jackson, K-12 Education Technology Leadership Projects
  • Heather Hinton, PagerDuty
  • Judy Garcia, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield
  • Kavya Pearlman, XR Safety Initiative
  • Rita Gurevich, SPHERE
  • Stephanie Franklin-Thomas, ABM Industries

As I mentioned, I’m honored to be included among this list of highly qualified and inspiring women leaders in the tech space. However, I don’t think it’s too boastful to say that what we’ve accomplished at Chargebacks911 may give me a bit of an edge.

Chargebacks911 is the world’s first chargeback mitigation and prevention service provider. We safeguard billions of transactions for tens of thousands of merchants internationally with cutting-edge transaction dispute technology and management solutions.

As founder, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built here. Chargebacks911 has become the industry’s leading chargeback remediation firm, while its sister company, Fi911, delivers award-winning solutions that help bridge the gaps between consumers, merchants, and financial institutions. And, we’re always on the lookout for ways to better serve merchants while lobbying for industry-wide innovation!

The Awards are Coming Up!

The Women in IT Summit & Awards will be held on 14 September 2022 in New York. I look forward to honoring and celebrating remarkable women, allies, and organizations across the US for their exceptional contributions to the technology industry.

Again, I wish all the nominees the best of luck, and can’t wait to meet everyone there!
